Temporary certification program for electronic health records established PDF Print E-mail

On June 18, 2010, the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, issued final rules to establish a temporary certification program for electronic health records.  In order to qualify for the financial incentives for adoption of electronic health records that were established as part of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, physicians and hospitals must use an electronic health record which has been certified.  To view the press release from ONCHIT, click here.
